I won't say normal but it is definitely unhealthy. At least three square meals or better still, six short, frequent meals are recommended to complete a balanced diet. This also helps to keep your weight in check,if weight gain/ loss is what concerns you.

Normal is not the best word in general. Is it healthy? No, it's not good for your overall blood sugar. This could be because you're eating a large singular meal when you should be dividing it over a few smaller meals. If it is one small meal, perhaps go to a doctor about your eating habits. :)

I see 2 aspects to this questions. 1. what is normal? What is normal for one person isn't for another. We all have different appetites, some eat 3 square meals whilst others are grazers. 2. Focusing on a health perspective, only eating one meal per day wont provide your body with the ongoing energy it needs to get through the day and will also effect your thoughts, memory and concentration. Perhaps having a chat to someone if you would like some advise on nutrition or if you would like some support if you are struggling with food restriction :)

While "normal" is a loaded term, eating one meal per day is definitely not something I've ever heard of as a recommended diet. The body needs regular nutrition, and that must be very hard to achieve through a single meal a day! Someone engaging in this behavior might want to consider why they're eating so infrequently.

It may be unhealthy for you to eat this way. Doctors recommend 3-6 meals a day. I think what you're doing is called 'fasting' it's a form of eating to lose weight.

If you aren't hungry you should go to a doctor to find out why. On the other hand if you just aren't eating simply because you don't want to or you feel like you don't need to then you should be eating. Instead of eating less try eating 3 small and healthy meals during the day. You'll still lose weight, but you won't be unhealthy.

A persons body can run off different amounts of calories depending on what their body is suited for. Personally I do not thing that you should only eat one meal a day since it is not giving you energy and can cause you to burn out while doing different activities. Doing this may cause your stomach to shrink and then it will be harder to eat a proper amount and full fuel your body and mind.

In my experience, it is not "normal" to eat one meal per day. Your body needs consistent nutrition, and so it needs those regular meals. If you find that you're not often hungry, try eating multiple smaller meals throughout the day. Your body will thank you!

It is not. Only 1 meal a day doe not give you the energy you need to move forward. Choosing to treat yourself right by eating the proper amount of nutrients is hard, but it is so worth it!

Research shows that eating 4-5 small meals a day is better for your health. Spacing meals out can be difficult, but give it a try! Eating only one meal a day doesn't sound healthy to me, but then again I'm not a medical doctor :) Give eating more often a try and see how it goes for you.
