Telling your parents you have an eating disorder is not an east task. One way to do so is to confront them in a calm manner asking for their help and support. Eating disorders are hard to ask for help about because asking for help and change meas giving up control of what you are most powerful over. Approaching parents directly will help them better understand the situation you are in, and that you are serious about getting help. Explaining exactly how you feel without letting your emotions take over will additionally prove that gaining professional help will be a stop in the right direction for recovery.

Well, you could tell them about the symptoms you experience. That might get your feelings across without the overwhelmingness of saying "mom/dad, i have an eating disorder" Or you could write them a note. That would allow them to process what you're telling them without facing a slew of panicked questions. And, you can wait until you're ready. There's no need to march into your parent's bedroom this very second unless you are comfortable. I do hope that you feel better soon and your relationship with food improves. And I wish your parents the best, too. They love you very much.
