How can I stop my stop comparing myself to other people with eating disorders and/or stop using pro- eating disorder websites.

learn how to focus on a healthy nutrition by googling ''nutrition'' and start enjoying the healthy things you can eat. Don't look at other people, personality begins where comparison ends. :)

Do not look up any more of those websites, do not look at beauty magazines. Remember, in those magazines, the woman on there are really not that skinny. It is edited. Those girls on those websites, they are ill, not healthy. Talk to a therapist, people with eating disorders are very unhealthy, you dont want to compare yourself to that

People who have eating disorders have their own issues that they need to deal with, so why compare yourself with them. Might as well pray for their well being and thank God for what you have.

try and find support through family, friends, hotlines, online. block any pro eating disorder websites you come across

Maybe try reminding yourself that these sites will only be an impediment in the recovery process and are more likely to engender more symptoms ? It's not conducive to recovery and the more ingrained the rituals and negative thoughts are , the harder it is to recover completely. Your prognosis would be better if you focussed on recovery completely.

This can be really hard, especially with everything we see, everywhere. Something that helped me a lot was getting rid of unnecessary sources of comparison - magazines, websites, videos etc. Also writing a note on my mirror that emphasized that I AM ENOUGH and reading it out loud every morning and evening.
