Hi dear, sorry to bring up an old thread. I wanted to tell you that our society has a twisted perception of health and beauty, and that some people who are now label as "fat" (overweight) used to be considered the healthiest. The bmi was shifted down, and the "healthy" weight no longer represents the group with the longest average lifespan, even though that was its original basis. The second thing, is that confidence is beautiful. I know it sounds cliche, but truly if you carry yourself with pride, your posture and movements are more attractive. If you think you are attractive, other people will believe you. Wear what makes you feel good, and try to take care of yourself, and then "looking fat" isn't a problem anymore.

Eat *healthy* (not nothing, that just makes it worse) and exercise frequently. Consume around 2,000 calories a day, mostly from fruits and vegetables, proteins, and complex carbohydrates. Go for a walk/jog/run, and exercise for about an hour each day. You'll not only look better but you'll feel a lot better, too.

Body image is something I've struggled with for a long time. I have realized that instead of trying to look thinner, I needed to feel comfortable with myself and what I was wearing. For too long I wore clothes that were too small because I was afraid of buying a bigger size, but once I finally started wearing clothes that fit, I felt better and looked better.

I don't want to answer that in itself. Rather, why do you worry about it? I think it would be best to focus on gaining muscle, physical fitness, than fat itself. After all, healthy is about 20-25% body fat!

Only if you really have excess fat that could be harmful to your health, I'd suggest going to a dietologist to create a healthy weight loss plan. Exercise could also help!
