Talk about it, write about it, whatever it takes to get it out of your head and away from your thoughts. Face it head on, admit to yourself that this did in fact happen to you and it was not your fault. Then look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself you are safe now, you are ok, and you are not in that place anymore, I hope. Once you face the trauma, then you can begin the healing process but be patient. The flashbacks may never completely stop but in time they will become less real and less frightening. Good luck, you can do this.
