Finding a therapy that works for you can be really difficult - it took me a long time to even just own up to the fact that I had any problems, and finding a type of therapy/medication combination that worked for me was even harder. The most important thing in my experience is find someone you can trust who has an objective view of your situation - whether that be a therapist or a school guidance counselor. I happened to confide in my school guidance counselor, and she really helped me through a lot of issues. The search can be long and tedious but in the end it's definitely worth it.

This is a great question! There are different kinds of therapies, and they work differently for each person. The only way to know if a therapy will work for you is by giving it a chance and understanding it could take some time to work. It may not get better with therapy right away, so patience is important. If you need support during that time, reaching out to support system can be helpful whether it's talking to your listeners or family or friends. Because you shouldn't have to go through this alone.

I'd bet on it! Of course, the only way that you'll ever find out is to keep trying, and to never give up. Sometimes, treatments fail, but you can't let that discourage you from wanting to get better. This may involve even trying old treatments that failed, because maybe they'll work now; a person can never step into the same river twice, so too are we constantly changing with the passage of time.
