You will! Sometimes it takes only one try, sometimes it takes a couple, and sometimes it takes a dozen! Every therapist is different and has a different method, and it can be challenging to find the person who's best suited to you. But keep trying--it's well-worth it in the end!

One can never tell the future for certain... but what is certain is that if you haven't found one that works yet, and you stop looking, then no, you will not find a therapy that works!
When I first tried therapy I just assumed they are experts and I just show up and do what they suggest. This isn't really true! My first therapist, a psychiatric resident, talked to me weekly for many months. I felt good about going but it didn't seem to do much, and eventually we tried meds, which did a little but not much. When her residency ended I didn't continue therapy and quit meds.
A few years later I got more serious. I saw a psychologist my insurance would cover. I assumed, he is the expert... just do what he says and it will be OK. As we reached the end of the number of sessions insurance would cover I realized - this hasn't done much for me. So I walked away.
A little while later, I got even more serious. I read about how to find a therapist. I learned that finding a good fit is important. I learned how to interview a therapist - to ask questions about the approaches they use (this should not be a mystery!). And actually, I had my wife make the calls, which proved significant because one person on my list asked why she was calling. When they learned it was my fear of calling strangers I got a referral to someone who does CBT for social phobia (even though I called about depression).
That changed everything! I worked in a very focused and effective way on attacking both problems, and every step of the way I understood what we were doing and why.
The bottom line, I'd say, if that you will find a therapy that works if you are persistent, trust yourself (if it doesn't feel right it probably isn't; don't second-guess your feelings too much!) and ask potential therapists to explain what they are doing and why. It's perfectly appropriate and normal to "interview" potential therapists - as professionals, they should not have any problem fielding your questions, explaining their therapeutic approach, etc. And you (or someone) is paying a lot of money for the work, so you're entitled to know what they're offering!

You may have to look and try out a lot of different therapies (I know I did) but eventually I'm sure you'll find the right fit for you. Best of luck.

Sometimes finding the right fit can be hard. It may take one, two or several different therapies until you find one that works for you.

That depends; as there many different types of therapy. For me personally, I have found that therapy combined with my medications and coping skills has helped me remain strong and ready to tackle life's challenges.

It's not so much about finding a therapy that works for you as much as a therapist. :] No matter how good a therapist you may have, if you do not feel comfortable talking to them, or do not like them, then there's nothing they can really do. So you keep looking. You can also try one or two beggining sessions just to see if you like the therapist befor esettling on them.
