It's not true. I think sometimes the mind has a tendency to eternalize or generalize when something has gone south "it always was this way" or "everyone is like this". Just becoming aware of that tendency should help you get out of it. You have met people who have cared about you -- and if you forget, find some old people or babies! :-)

You have a whole community of people who do care for you. Your family gave birth to you because they wanted a child, you have people at church and teachers at school who all care for your wellbeing. You choose to tell yourself that no one cares for you, but in reality, we're all here to help.

I think that you are cared about tremendously- it's hard to see, but sometimes people are showing us they care without saying a word. Often the littlest actions (such as someone telling you to be careful because the roads are slick, or someone telling you "I got your favorite food!") are signs that someone cares. And we at 7 Cups care. I love you, and it will be okay.

Listen, someone out there does care. Even if it doesn't seem like they care, they care. If you believe that no one cares about you, you'll just end up getting sadder and sadder. Believe that people care!

We tend to interpret the world through our own lens, but that lens can be really distorted. When we don't care about ourselves, it's hard to see how anyone else does. Taking off the lens and looking for evidence that shows that people care can help.

Depression can be really hard to deal with, not everyone knows how to deal with or how to help. Sometimes it's the depression itself making us think that people don't care about us, just because of how low we are feeling. You start to feel really upset and like no one understands you, but there are people that will support you, understand you and there are people that care about you! :)

People do care, however small it is. Maybe it's not obvious to you, and maybe the people closest to you are neglectful, abusive or cold, but there is always someone out there who'll care about you.
