Here's a thing I do so you start to regain your self-esteem: forget about the people first. Forget about how they think of you because their thoughts might matter yes but it's your life. You're the captain of your only lifetime and you cannot let them dictate how you control it. So let their insulting and intrusive thoughts pass. Words hurt but it will only hurt more if you entertain them.

Perhaps in the past you were subjected to experiences that left you feeling insecure, or inadequate. Which is why you have a subconscious drive to be good enough for everyone else, along with the worry that you might not live up to it. Hence you're conscious of what others think of you. Do note that this drive can be channeled in a different way - you can always use it to improve yourself, be better than who you were yesterday.

It's natural for you to think that way. And you're not alone either. It's how our brains are wired, I guess. The society is a huge part of our lives. One aspect of your life will always revolve around that thought so what you can do about it is telling yourself that it doesn't matter at the end of the day. The only person who's thoughts about you should be considered is you. Hope I helped:)

Being over aware of what others thinking of ourselves is very common. Actually since very young age, we have been taught unconsciously to beware of our own image and act "normal". So worrying about our image or what others thinking about ourselves has become a "habit". If you think that this habit is not good for you, then to fix it is to realize that what others may think of us is not that important anymore. You already grow up. You are responsible for your own being. You can do whatever you want, even others agree with that or not.

Do you suffer from social anxiety? Maybe your trying to please to many people in your life. Remember to take time out to care for yourself and your own stuff that's going on. Don't worry about the people who get annoyed with it. Sometimes we all need a little time out from being around social pressures. It's natural. Take care :)

Sometimes it is because we are pressured to succumb to what society expects of us, so we become flustered with what we believe we are suppose to be and what we are not. And thus experiencing that sort of anxiety.

I recently learned in psychology class that everyone goes through a phase where they are overly concerned about what other people think and might feel like everyone is constantly judging them. I know I definitely went through that, and I sometimes still struggle with it. It's a normal thing that so many people go through- some people are just better at hiding it. Just try to keep in mind that the only opinion of you that matters is your own.

To have an I don't care attitude is nice to have sometimes but we gauge behaviors by what people think. To constantly think about what other people think is a direct blow to our level of self-esteem our self perception. What people are actually thinking as opposed to what we transfer onto others (mind-reading) is something to consider. What we feel inside comes across as something another may feel.

because this is how our society made us become, not anymore ourselves, but a big group of people where there are standards to respect, clothes to wear, things to say, things not to do and persons not to be
