Sometimes I wake up feeling sad because of something that might have upset me the day before. Like a fight with a family member. Or even I test that I felt like a did bad on the day before. But I know that it’s okay to feel that way sometimes. I know that I can get through it. It might be tough, but I know for every problem there is a solution. I just have to find that solution somehow. Life isn’t always rainbows and sunshine, it’s Okay to feel sad or upset sometimes. That’s what makes us humans.

Sometimes I have a dream that I am not aware of but it feels me with unpleasant feeling. Sometimes something bothers me and I am not aware of but it is possible to transform these feeling and create joy instead. Each one of us is capable of that. For example, before going to sleep on the previous night, I could have overate. The overeating was caused by some unpleasant thoughts that I was trying to avoid. So I woke up in the morning and felt unpleasant feeling. By bringing the root cause to awareness and making a decision not to escape, I can transform the negativity to joy.

It depends highly on how well you slept. It won't feel good if you weren't able to sleep as you will regret that you have wasted your time and still feeling exhausted. And in second case, you have slept nicely and you will wake up yawning smoothly and happily, you won't remember anything this instant but as soon as something triggers your last days memories and how bad it was then you will start feeling bad. Only when we assume on the basis of prior information that this day again is going to worse like previous day then it starts ruining the day.

One possibility is that the circadium rhythm is disrupted. This can happen when we are working too long on the computer at night, particularly between the hours of 9 and 11 pm. The blue light from the screen can impact our circadium rhythm negatively but also bright lights in the bedroom. This kind of light makes our body think it is daytime, not nighttime, consequently the body produces the hormone cortisol which gives us engergy instead of the correct one, namely melatonine which is the sleep hormone. The disruption in our "body clock" causes unhealthy sleep, shorter sleep and can lead to being agitated, sad, morning depression and inability to focus in the morning and even during the day. Good sleep preparation, possibly a visit to the doctor's office can help to stabilize the circadium rhythm. Alcohol, caffeine for ex keep us awake.

Sometimes we awake in an emotional state such as sadness due to dreams, which are our minds sorting out or days, decisions and opinions. When the information has a less than desireable outcome, it may make us feel sad.
Also, It could be that you feel sad at waking on a monday thinking it was a friday. That makes me sad. lol :)
SOmetimes we feel sad upon waking up because our body is imbalanced and there can be no trigger for us to feel these ways.
Other reasons are varied as your mileage may be varied depending on the experiences that are going on in your life at the time.

Sometimes I wake up feeling sad because I've been secluded too long or it's just a bad time of year with a hovering date. I've had several bad experiences mold me into the person I am today - Not define me. Some days are harder than others to shake the feeling. Being secluded for weeks at a time makes it a little easier to wake up feeling sad. Being in a new area where currently there aren't any familiar faces adds to that on a somewhat regular basis. End of the day I tell myself it's something that I can get through, especially with everything else I've gotten through already.

For feeling like I haven’t accomplished anything. Like a failure, not doing my tasks. Not being a changed person for the better. I want to be a better person, and wake up happy. For others too, not just me. I feel like being a listener will make me a better person, and helping others will help them too. So why not take the chance to turn my life for the better, and volunteer to be a listener? I’m so grateful to finally be one. I appreciate every member, listener, everyone on this site/app â¤ï¸ thank you all. -Listener

Sometimes I wake up feeling sad out of the blue, too. This may be a result of something that happened the previous day, a dream you had, something about the future you're worried about, or there may not even be any foreseeable reason at all. It is actually a normal thing to wake up feeling sad or down in the dumps for no reason from time to time, but when it happens frequently, that may be a sign of depression. This is a fairly common symptom of mood disorders, and if it is happening all the time, that may be because of a mental illness.

Oh god a littany of reasons. Sometimes i have dreams that are like the opposite of nightmares. They are so nice and warm and when i wake up and realize it was just a dream its hard to walk through reality knowing whatever i saw isnt real. Other times its just the overlooning stress that i have to go through another day not knowing what can or will happen. Its the fear of the unknown. I used to actively avoid sleep for the fear of those too good to be true dreams but that is just giving the subconscious too much power over me.

Waking up after a good night's sleep should be a pleasant experience for most of us. However, sometimes we have subtle dreams which influence our thought process profoundly when we wake up. Personally, I have had some past experiences which fills me with guilt every time I revisit those memories. And when I have one such fragment of memory in my dream, it affects my emotional and metal state. As a result, when I wake up, I feel sad and uncomfortable. This process is natural and we do not have to worry about it. The best way to cope up is to deal with the troubled memories.
