As I do not know your situation, I can only offer speculation as to what you are asking. Often times people who say they feel empty are feeling numb or apathetic (indifferent) towards a lot of things in their life. This can be related to depression, social withdrawal, and even the regular part of growing up. It becomes problematic when feeling empty prevents you from doing things, if you have thoughts of harming yourself or others, or if it interferes with your regular functioning in daily life. As always, something can be distressing and problematic for you even if it does meet severe criteria or it is something that someone says shouldn't bother you. If you are bothered by it, talk to someone.

Emptiness is one of the hardest feelings to over come, as you can't see any answer, most people will feel this at some point in there lives. The way I overcame this was by using positive reinforcement in the way I thaught about things, the way that I did things. And people started to notice the new me. This lead to people starting to approach me, and I started making new friends. Over time I noticed that that feeling of emptiness had gone as I felt for filled in my life. And that's what lead me to be a listener here. I know it sounds hard but the best way to start is by thing about something that makes you happy, and when you have a challenging situation you can use this thought to overcome the emptiness

I'm sorry you feel that way. ): Maybe you feel empty because you've just lost something that made you feel full; perhaps it was a lover, or a career, or anything of great importance to you. Take care to fill that void with health coping mechanisms rather than negative, and do remember to fill it-- lest it consume you.

The sense of feeling empty is at times the pressure of meeting an expectation to society or even simply your family. And when we deem ourselves as we didn't achieve said goals we are deemed unworthy. When in reality success is all in our own self worth.
