Nothing comes absolutely out of the blue. If you feel depressed there must be a reason. Sometimes it's a biological one, so you'd better find medical counseling, to see if you're suffering an depression disorder.

Brain chemicals, probably. There are tons of things that can affect your mood, from your eating/exercise habits to changes in the weather. It could be that you were reminded of a bad memory.
Whenever this happens to me I sit back and think about what changed in my life recently so I can fix it.

Depression doesn't need a trigger. It is scientific proven that depression can hit everybody for no reason. That's why I think people should be more supportive towards depressed people. People in my region are making fun of them and I am really disgusted by them.

It might be something that you don't realize yet. You might need to meditate a little bit in a quiet place with nothing to disturb you, think about everything that disturbed you lately, even if it is pretty small. You might find what generates the sadness or depression.

Depression can spring out of nowhere! Sometimes, one can fall into a deep depressed state without even seeing the warning signs, and that's a very normal situation. It can certainly happen without anything triggering this feeling, and I know it can be very confusing to understand.

Depression come and go, it's not always a feeling that surround you all the time, it can be provoked by a lot of things, a song, a sight, someone who remember you someone else, ... The aim is to refrain you from being overwhelmed, go out for a walk, listen to a song you like, write down what makes you feel depressed, ... But don't let it settle down to deep in you :)

I'm sorry to hear you are feeling that way. Depressed feelings can come out of nowhere without any clear trigger, it tends to be caused by the chemical imbalance in your brain.
