Because depressed people don't care about anything, usually, ergo they do not care about getting help

I think it depends on certain circumstances. Sometimes they think they are bothering the others with their problem, sometimes they just want to be alone. Or they can be too shy to talk about what's wrong so they rather avoid any contact with the others.

There is no specific reason, it might mean they think they don't deserve their loved one, or being scared to show their emotions.

Because they feel like they aren't worth having someone who loves and cares about them. And they think that if they tell how they feel, people would look at them differently.

Sometimes it is easier to be lost in your feelings and not force the ones you love to have to deal with it also. I believe depression makes you push people away out of selflessness, because you don't want to hurt or bother those around you.

I'm more of the type to try to reach out which has resulted in my life in driving friends and family away, but I've also pushed others away. The reason for that is they feel they're a burden and they just cause problems for those who care about them, and that they'd be better off without them in (in severe cases)

I think depressed people push loved ones away because they don't think they deserve to be loved or anything.

To save them from the pain they are into. And prevent then from not falling into the same depression as they are.

They are usually having problems communicating their feelings and they are embarrassed. Afraid of alienated and labled.

I don't know the answer to that exactly but maybe it has something to do with not hurting the people they love. When a person is depressed they isolate themselves.
