It's usually because we tend to over-think matters and keep all those confusions, emotions to ourselves because we tend to think that "others won't understand" or "how would they feel about this". It is rather healthy that instead of just welling up those feelings because of the fear of losing people who mean a lot to you, you talk to them honestly. Let them know how you feel. It would help them to better understand your situation and would lead towards healthy relationships. Talking out your feelings would help you relieve the burden of the confusions you have and ultimately happiness.

You can. I won't write a big paragraph about how you can be happy because that is something you have to learn on your own but believe me, you can be happy.

Happiness as everyone knows is a state of mind where we feel and experience a lot of positivity , In modern world happiness has come to be synonymous with materialism where when we achieve something we feel happy , but the loss of possession brings sadness . The most important thing about such form of happiness is that it is only transitory , to be lived in that moment. Some philosophies dictate that happiness and sadness both are only temporary and are to be embraced and accepted as reality. Then how do we maximise happiness ? The largest amount for the maximum period of time . The way to achieve such a state is when we find the happiness within ourselves not in the outside world . We become truly happy when we are not really bothered about happiness , sadness , pain , agony , loss and gain . We don't celebrate life and neither do we mourn death . when we strive to achieve such a state of mind , then only we realise the true nature of life . So the way i see it , we have two choices - either celebrate both happiness and sadness OR get detached with emotions and just do your karma .

We can't be just happy, someone can, but mostly people need to work on their happiness. You have to ask yourself, what is happiness for you? Everyone perceives it differently. What is your happiness? Try to make a list of what your happiness is, what are the things that make you happy, and don't rush, do it gradually, discover it from day to day. And when your list full, try to prioritize these things and think about what are the things that are most important for your happiness. Which areas are most important to you? If you already have all the things that should make you happy, then maybe you should think again about whether these things really make you happy? Maybe these are not the things that ensure your happiness, maybe you are on the middle path to your happiness. Sometimes it is useful to understand the things that interfere with your happiness and to understand how you can change these obstacles, and if you change them, will it improve your happiness? Basically - what does happiness mean to you? What do you need to be happy? And what are the things in your life that interfere with you to be happy?
