We tend to bottle up our bad experiences and painful moments. Sometimes a small break down is all that is needed to "break" the lide on that jar of emotions and let them all come out

It's sort of like sweeping dust under a rug;although you can no longer see it it is still there. As time passes and you continue to sweep the dust under the rug the pile grows until you can no longer ignore it. It becomes so large that it gets in the way or begins to seep out. Life is sort of the same way. When we have things in our past that we avoid hoping they'll just go away on their own they tend to build up until until we can't take it anymore. When this happens we explode like a balloon with too much air. we either break or bend.We must face release what is bothering us or it will blow up in our face one day except we don't know when.

Like a crack in the wall of a dam of emotions, the moment a fracture forms, all of the emotions flood in like a torrent. Sometimes these outbursts are exactly what we need to reset and restart to be able to handle ourselves when the water stops coming through and the walls tumble. In the silence and quiet waters we can rise out of the tragedy and start anew.

You have broken through a wall of silence that you have spent a lifetime creating, it is a little like the boy with his finger in the dyke, the little dutch boy. The hole/leak was the weakest point, once opened it allows the hurt to emerge. You cannot control emotions that first trickle/then come out in uncontrollable tsunamis.

A break down even if it's a little one just makes everything come back rushing to you. You just have to find a way to not let it bother you.

Because you've been dealing with it for a long time until it gets heavier everyday that you cannot handle it anymore. I believe that a little break down helps you to unlift the baggage.

That's because you have kept a lot of tragedies emotions locked up rather than dealing with them. And because of that the moment you break out with 1 emotion all the locked up emotions will flow as well.
