You could talk to anyone that's in your support system and you feel comfortable with. For ex: friends, family, colleagues, primary doctor, therapist, psychiatrist, listeners at 7 cups. It depends on who you feel comfortable with and trust. Listeners are valuable support if you just want someone to listen to you and offer safe space. If you are looking for advice on treatment or diagnosis or any medical expertise related to depression, your doctor would be the best person to talk to.

If you are independent, a therapist. If not, a school counselor or a parent, in attempts to get a therapist.

you can talk to anyone about depression, even someone who doesn't understand it, because nine times out of ten, they've felt that before.

I usually talk to my best friends as it gets awkward to talk about depression to my parents. And the reason why i would prefer my best friends as they will understand more as they are in the similar situation.

I always talk to my best friend. She's amazing, and even though she's depressed herself, she knows exactly what to say and what I need to hear.

We talk to those people about depression who we trust and believe. We must talk about this to those who really are willing to think about this problem.First step is to analyze if you have depression or not and then second step is to talk on this issue to your close ones and that can be any person, mother, father, siblings or your friend.
