You can talk to a 7Cups member! We will always be willing to help. You can message a friend online, even an internet friend (just make sure you really who they are). If things become too difficult, you can call a crisis line. There are also numbers that you can text. Reaching out for help is not a bad thing. In fact, it shows how strong you are. I'm proud of you for trying to get better. You got this.

The best place to go is 7cups, honestly I came her for depression and lots of other things but I ended up being a listener. Best thing I could have done, I ended up helping so many people and I still am.

A trusted friend, parent or experienced listener on a website like 7 cups can be a great comfort. However, teachers, mentors and peers going through depression may also be able to give you insight and empathise with your situation like others may not. Sometimes it's difficult to talk about depression, or even give it that label, so take it slow. Start out by allowing yourself to feel less alone in the comfort of a friendly voice online, whether is be anonymous or somebody that cares about you and wants to be there for you. You don't have to jump into talking about things straight away if you're not comfortable with it. It's important that you trust and feel safe with whomever you're confiding in. Your feelings are valid and sacred, and it's important that you be treated with respect and care.

You can talk to anyone on this website about your depression, and anyone on a suicide/depression online hotline. People with whom you feel will keep your depression a secret between you and them, and who take your condition seriously, are the people you should talk with. Many people here would be more than willing to talk with you about it!
