A counselor or therapist are great options. If you cannot afford them, you can talk to a trusted friend or family member.

The best person would be your mum or dad. They can then take you to see a doctor and the doctor can refer you to a professional.

Of course it´s good if you have someone you trust that can support you and understand you in your family or some friend, but for my experience the best way is to talk to a psychotherapist that will help you with his/her knowledge about this problems and will guide you to a higher level of knowledge about yourself and of course will help you to understand the causes of your depression, will first of all understand you and will make you feel like you´re nt alone, then he will help you to overcome depression, it´s a slow path, but is a deep path in yoursef that will bring you out the real you. I recommend to go to a psychotherapist to everyone!!!
But if you don´t have the opportunity to go to a therapist you can tell about how you feel to a counsellor in your school or to a trusted friend or to your parents or relatives....anyway talking about depression always help, You´re strong even if you ask for help, trust me!

I suggest speaking with someone you really trust and are close with. if your family is supportive, speak with them as well when you feel more comfortable with it. You might never feel entirely comfortable with it, but you might need support if you ever decide to seek professional help.

You can talk to anyone who you trust. A family member or close friend, or a councillor at school. If you prefer a more anonymous conversation then 7 cups is a great place to talk to people! Talking about depression is hard but so important for recovery.

You can talk to your family, friends and even seek professional help if that is something you're interested in. Talking to someone you feel safe and comfortable with is a good place to start :)

First of all, I would suggest talking to your parents, a family member, or close friend. If you can't talk to any of them, then perhaps you could try a teacher or someone like that, that you hold in high regard and know you can trust. Then, there's always the lovely people on this site right here.

Talk to people. Yeah therapists, parents, friends but most importantly talk to yourself. Give yourself a break and think about your past and who you want to become. You can only lead the future, no therapist can move you towards the future.

I first would reach out to my parents, and also a guidance counselor. They are professional in what they do and they can be a very good source to explain all of your problems and they also give advice to fix most of these problems.

There a lot of adults in your life that you can talk to about depression. For me, I talked with my parents and they came up with a plan to send me to a therapist so I could talk to a licensed profession to help me with my mental problems. If you are not comfortable talking to your parents about your depression, you could talk to your friends or even your teachers at school. Yes, they are there to help you learn, but I am sure they would talk to you and help you find someone to talk to.
