The most important thing is to talk to someone but it really depends on your situation. Being here is already a start. A good friend or a close family member can also be a good option and if you are at school a teacher can also provide the help needed.

7CupsofTea Listeners are here for you. But, I think its still advisable to talk to your family and friends first. Then if things got more serious, ask a professional therapist or Psychologist.

You need to talk to yourself first. Grab the reasons. Connect with your hear and soul. But it's so hard to when you're depressed. But there are people who always are ears to listen to you. Might be your friends, your parents, a therapist (if you like) or your well wishers like us Talking about it will surely help. It may not vanish the depression at once but eventually, you'll feel the support.

A listener on 7 cups is a great place to start! Personally, I'm always more than happy to talk to anyone dealing with depression, because I know how hard it can be. If you have a best friend, roommate, or parent that you are considering reaching out to, odds are they are going to be more than happy to help you, too. Sometimes it's hard to reach out for help with depression, but most of the time the person you reach out to will be there to support you. You're not alone.
