I would talk to the person (or people) who you feel the most comfortable talking to about your depression and who you feel would understand you the best. This could be a trusted family member, a good friend, or really anybody you trust in your life. This doesn't necessarily have to be someone you know in real life, but can also be a trusted online friend that you feel comfortable discussing your feelings with. You may even find it beneficial to simply anonymously chat with a listener on here that specialises with depression (which you can easily find via browse listeners when you adjust your search options). Do note it can take a few tries to find a listener you really connect with, but don't give up! You will find the best listener, or listeners for you. :) You can also benefit from talking with a licensed therapist about your depression if you desire and are able to. I know the feeling of depression is frustrating, and it can be hard to open up about how you are feeling. But remember, you are not alone. :) The options I have mentioned are just a few. So choose what works best for you and what you feel most comfortable with.

People who are close to you, who you trust, and who you feel comfortable with can be great resources. Listeners on 7 Cups are always there for you too. Finally, if you have the resources and are ready to reach out, a therapist can be a great partner and asset.
