There is no set time; but it does. Depression ranges from person to person. However, it only gets better when you reach out for help. Recovery to a happier life is very bumpy and there are lots of complications; but in the end it is worth it.

it varies from person to person. but for me it is happening right now, after i accepted it, and made of it a lesson. an important step towards recovery is reaching out for help.

I believe it gets easier in terms of depression when you find hope and happiness in the darkest of times. When you're determined to get better and everything seems a lot easier and simpler.

It'll be easier when you accept it and seek support to fight it, but never accepted and just give up living with it. Support helps with depression, hopefully you'll be better soon. :)

Depression is different for each person and it doesn't depend on whether a person has a 'bigger' or 'smaller' problem. Everything about depression takes time.

For me, it's been an up and down ride of depression. I can't say it gets easier. But what helps is seeking help and opening up to others.

I think it starts to get easier once you get help. Realize why you feel the way you do and work towards finding something that makes you happy and people who you love surrounding you. Go see a therapist that you connect with and keep your doctor involved in your treatment. It won't be easy but it is possible.

From as far as I can tell, depression never really goes away. As far as when does it get easier, it would seem most logical that it varies person to person. I'm not sure how accurate this is but I find that when you change your attitude and I guess wake up from this nightmare, you start to get better.

Yes depression is hard to get over with but it starts getting easier when you surround yourself with positive people. Read positive quotes, Try to think about the good things in life. Admiring nature also helps. Once you start tuning to mind to thinking that you are happy then it becomes much easier

Medications, or just talking to people, can help. It won't go away forever, sadly, but these things can control it.
