Do something which makes you happy :) if you like listening to music and you know it makes you feel better, then do it and also, try to sit alone and think to yourself "was it worth it feeling this way?"

For me the best way to get over my mood swings was to find things I loved and add them into my routine. I am a schedule person and do best when I have a schedule and stick to it. There are lots of activities that I do when I feel my mood shift one way or the other that bring me back to a calm and happy place. Music helps me too. But everyone will have different things that work for them. I think it is a matter of finding things that work and knowing your body and it's needs.

That depends on what's causing the mood swings. If you're having problems with rumination for example (which is essentially negative worrying but with a focus on the past) there are some techniques out there to help. Eat more healthily, work on a consistent sleep pattern, do tasks regularly that help you de-stress which could be exercise and of course do your best to think positively and question your line of thought.

The best way to get over mood swings, in my opinion, is too listen to music and ignore the world. Sometimes I go for a walk and get some fresh air or go lay in the grass.

The best way to get over mood swings is to swing with the moods. Go with it, don't overthink it. That's never healthy.

Keeping your body in good shape!
Maintaining a healthy balanced diet, sleeping well and doing some physical activity daily seem obvious, but are the place to start recovery! If your body isn't healthy, the mind certainly won't be.
Other than that, I've noticed that introspection and figuring out who you are, what you like, etc. eliminate confusions in your thinking, which has an impact in reducing mood swings.
Getting therapy from a psychologist trained in CBT helped me get over my mood swings.
