You are having an imbalance of serotonin. This is totally normal and it happens to us all. The brain is the "command center" of the human body. It controls the basic functions of our bodies, our movements, and our thoughts and emotions. Researchers studying clinical depression tend to look at several aspects of brain function including the structures of the limbic system and the function of neurotransmitters within neurons.

Scientists don't fully comprehend the complexity of the brain, but here's one of my theories. First and foremost it's the focus you're giving to the thought and/or emotions. Second, it's the understanding you have about the situation that makes it so. Ever wonder why some people deal with certain situations better than others? It's how they perceive things. Sometimes the lack of knowledge can make a situation worse than it is but, too much knowledge of a situation could cause the same effect. So many things are going on when in a depressive stage but, my personal analyzation tells me that 1. Focus 2. Understanding 3. Emotions are the primary things happening and that will determine how we end up dealing with the situation. B-Blessed & Safe

“Our notions about happiness entrap us. We forget that they are just ideas. Our idea of happiness can prevent us from actually being happy. We fail to see the opportunity for joy that is right in front of us when we are caught in a belief that happiness should take a particular form.”

I feel like I'm not worth it and no one cares about me. That the world is crumbling around me and there's nothing I can do to hold it together. Like everyone around me would be better off if I was gone.

It's usually all gloomy, sort of like the dark clouds lurking and they won't go away or it will never rain. It is basically getting negative emotions, the feeling of sadness over and over again, no matter what you do!
