Depression must feel different for each individual. Finding moments of joy, like walking, listening to nature, or music might be good coping skills. Writing in a journal things your thankful for might be helpful. Finding a way to reach out to help someone in need could help in feeling capable and more confident. Reading a book that supports positive thoughts or connecting with a friend for a chat or outing. Using notes you’ve written to yourself and left in places you’ll see them to remind yourself that you’re important and make a difference to someone in your life. Giving simple complements to others lifts you and the person you’ve complement to.
