Look for friends! Sometimes friends will come up to you and talk to you, but sometimes you have to be the person to start the conversation.

What you can do if you're lonely and have no friends is join a club or find a hobby. Sometimes hobbies or activities like a sport or Art club will introduce people that better fit your personality and that will likely become your friend in the long run.

The number of friends in life is not defiant on your happiness. True happiness is gained from within. It's normal to feel lonely but just know you are never really alone. We all feel neglected at times which is why 7 cups of tea is great if you just need someone to talk to. The best thing you can do though is utilize your self time and start to view what once was a negative as a positive. Time to endeavour into new found activities, interest, hobbies, etc. And along the way you will meet new people, people who to are intrigued by similar things. These people could potentially become friends, or a listening ear. Just taking the first step to reach out and care for your self is the most important thing.

Do things that you enjoy, for instance, your hobbies. Many hobbies are social, encouraging you to make many new friends. When you feel lonely, try doing something you love, it will definitely make you feel happier.

Start going out more. Hang out in crowded places; art cafes, where all kinds of awesome people gather -- it's fantastic how different we all are but still fit so well.

Personally I'm a writer/ artist. So I usually draw or write for the novel I'm working on. But when you don't have any friends are isn't an excuse to be sad. It just means you have the chance to meet new people!

I look for an old favorite book and reread it! I find solace in my favorite literary friends when the actual ones are not available!
