What to do? Anything you can that doesn't involve wallowing. Sing, play video games, get into a good book, get up and move, go for a walk, draw something. The opposite of destruction is creation, remember?

Go outside! Find a hobby your intrestested in and join a club that does that. Unlike me, I love books.. so I'd rather read a bunch of books then go out.. but I still go out to keep in contact with people. Go have FUN!

Go out for a ride. Call up a friend. Go out and meet new people. Basically try and do everything that make you feel uncomfortable when depressed. When you don't ease into the state that depression comes with you dont fall into its trap. So next time when you are depressed, take a bath, go out for a ride or a walk, have a cup of coffee or lunch/dinner with friends. It'll help ease things up. Also share your problems with your better half or anyone close to you. They'll help and support you in numerous ways.

When I'm lonely and depressed, I take a long nap. It refreshes my mind. I take a nice long shower then pull on my ear plugs and start dancing around the house and enjoy and cherish life. At that moment I feel carefree and just like myself. It's amazing that something as simple as music and dancing makes me feel amazing. ☺

I read my favourite book or draw my favourite character! I also listen to music with lyrics similar to my state (you have a bad day) for example, that song really connects to you when you feel down, and the end kind of relieves you!
