“Do not avoid contact with suffering or close your eyes before suffering. Do not lose awareness of the existence of suffering in the life of the world. Find ways to be with those who are suffering by all means, including personal contact and visits, images, sounds. By such means, ...awaken yourself and others to the reality of suffering in the world. Think about it more. Take a deep breath and ask yourself how did you get to be the person who you are know. How you know what is love and solidarity. Think about events happened in your family and you celebrated it. Think about your friends or your only friend you have who cheered you up in hard times. Think about how to thank them.

Feeling this way can be extremely difficult and upsetting, however, it can often be your bodies way of coping with depressive symptoms. It is important to reach out and get the support you need especially if this is occurring over a longer period of time. It is important to remember that it is not your fault that you do not care about anything right now and these feelings will not last forever. Remember to be patience with yourself and try to keep up with self-care, as it is important to keep yourself healthy whilst you are dealing with these feelings.
