Depression - It's lot more to do with feeling hollow or empty and much less with sadness. Feeling no motivation or purpose to live, being pleased with the idea of death, loss of will to do anything even things previously enjoyed. Anxiety - constant consciousness and thoughts of fear. Being unable to interact or indulge in activities due to fears and preoccupation of mind. Constant thoughts about worse possible outcome. Very low confidence and loss of faith in self.

Depression and anxiety are two different feelings and yet so close to each other. One can lead to the other. Depression is waking up, and realising that the all world seem to go by with or without you. Feeling that your life could go on pause and it wouldn't change a thing. Is forgetting that you have friends, or worse, think that everyone just hates you. And since the world keeps turning and running, why should I wake up? Why should I go out, since there is no need for me out there. Depression is feeling invisible. Anxiety is feeling that you are unworthy of your own life.

It honestly sucks because you feel like there is no escape and everything will get worse.It makes you feel isolated and weak. However, it can easily be helped by thinking positively and that everything will be ok in the end, and we can learn to cope with it! Positivity is the trick, but it is quite hard as i suffer from anxiety and i get quite depressed from it. and i find it totally sucks, but i am learning to deal with it and I'm gradually feeling better :). I hope this helps/answers your question.

Anxiety is like a living hell where life is out to get you. Even the simplest things can make you panic. But with the bad comes the good, you can be feeling awful and accomplish the smallest thing which makes you remember anxiety is only temporary. Anxiety and depression sufferers are among the strongest people in the world because we have lived through hell and survived!

It is the worst experience of your life. Constantly looking over your shoulder waiting for something that will never happen to happen. Being sad all the time and nothing makes you happy any more. Trying to act like everything is okay when you know for a fact it's not. Being afraid to make mistakes

It's basically like you have been thrown into the deep end and you can't seem to find your way back to the top. It can be suffocating, like it's eating at you. But the thing is, you can get out of the deep end, all it takes is just time and patience. My attitude used to be " I'm never going to be able to get out of this" but now I know that in time all will be okay, I will get there in my own time.

Depression is a feeling that is always heavy in your chest and you're feeling quite down always. You don't always feel as optimistic that you can be. It is indeed a crappy feeling that feels like it's always tugging at you to sometimes remind you that you are down. Anxiety is being aware of almost everything at once to make you feel in such a uncomfortable place like depression. Your heart is constantly beating fast from pressure of all sorts.

Depression is like you are drowning with lots of other people with you but they are breathing, you are the only one who cant breathe and you cant get back up to land for a long time after you hit rock bottom, or screaming in a room crowded with people but no one can hear you. Anxiety is like having people get closer and closer to you making you feel extremely uncomfortable, their eyes staring at you and only you, this happens for so long that you cant do anything but feel anxious and self conscious.
