What do you do when you have no passion or drive?

You keep looking until you find one! Often when people believe that they have nothing they live for, it is because their taste and interest are niche enough that they have not yet encountered anything that would spark their interest. Perhaps what would excite you is so incredibly unorthodox that you'll have to dig a while to find it. Or perhaps it is simply because you might have developed baseless expectations and your past interests simply didn't live up to them. Reevaluate your beliefs and keep looking for interesting things, dig around, try a little of everything. And if none of that works, make looking for drive your passion.

Believe me, everyone has a passion! You may have not found it yet... keep looking!!! Try everything: arts, sports, writing, taking some classes... until you find something you love! Just remember: Always keep trying. I didn't have a passion either until e.g. I found volunteering and online volunteering, I love helping people, I am sure you love doing something too. Don't worry a lot, the time will come and you will notice when it is here.

When I have no passion or drive, the best medicine I have found is to put something on my calendar that I can look forward to in the future. Something even better is to schedule an appointment for therapy. When I have something on my calendar that I look forward to, it helps me feel some hope and some excitement for what is to come. For example, currently, in April I have a larping event I am sO excited to go to, and at the end of February I have another therapy appointment and I get to see my test results! I am very eager for these two things and knowing they are coming up makes me feel a lot better.

Usually I stop and think about what I have enjoyed earlier. Or I make it exciting by trying something new. Like learning a different language or starting a new music instrument. Usually the hardest step for me is actually getting started; however, once motivated the drive usually comes. The feeling of being wanted or needed is a good one, and it starts with our own initiative. Do you have hobbies you enjoy, or ones perhaps you would like to try? Perhaps going for a small walk with a friend.

I go outside for a walk and reconnect with nature. Listening to the wind blow through the trees or watching birds re energizes me to do more and be proactive. I leave my phone at home to get some downtime from being connected to the world. I plan my next adventure or challenge and go through the steps to make it successful. Just being in nature makes me feel more myself, grounded, centered, and happy overall. I get worn out easily after being around a lot of people so secluded woods are my favorite spots to be in. Happy in nature!

I always try to kind of 'force' myself to get ready, dress up a little so you feel more confident and then go out for a walk in nature whilst talking to someone or just listening to music. I always find myself feeling much better afterwards. Remember that it's okay to have off-days, everyone feels like that sometimes. If it happens a lot I would try to track it and see what might causes it and what 'solutions' work best for you. Try to make yourself as comfortable as possible so you'll feel the best about yourself as you possibly can.

I usually will wait. I allow myself to take a day to do nothing and to give my mind to time and space to build up its motivation on its own. Usually during these days, all I'll do is maybe eat something small, take a long shower, etc. Then, the next day, I make sure that I get up and start doing something. Sometimes its doing my makeup for no reason, or cooking, or doing homework, but I do something. Usually after doing a few small things here and there, I'll find myself slowing gaining back some of that lost passion.

from the research I have done. Passionate people go out and get it done.
“Passion is the genesis of genius.†– Tony Robbins
Passionate people live every day with the anticipation of great things.
The passionate are committed to eliminate anything that holds them back from what they most desire.
“Nothing great in the world has ever been accomplished without passion.†– Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel
People with passion always want to offer their best to the world.
Passionate people are great coaches and motivators. They often care deeply for others and do everything they can to help them succeed.
Most passionate people who follow their life longings are happy and fulfilled individuals. They focus on their blessings and give back to others.

Well, let's start with addressing the obvious - that you, or others, may have depression, and may or may not be getting help to manage your depression. This will take time. Be patient.
Next steps. In the meantime. Addressing the lack of passion or drive. I won't try to say this is a cure-all, but it does help. Changing your outlook.
Now, this isn't going to happen overnight either, and it can be a difficult thing to do when you don't *want* to change. But you're asking for help, and that tells me, that even an itty bitty part of you wants to change. And that's great!
Changing your outlook. Let's start with seeing things as they are, yes?
No passion or drive. Okay. Blank slate. Blank page. Perfect. Do you see what that means? That the whole entire world is open to you. You get to choose whatever you want, do and learn whatever you want. You get to experiment, try new things, discover what turns you on! The world is your oyster.
There are websites like FutureLearn and Coursera that offer free courses, with open end dates, the ability to re-start or even re-take the courses once you complete them. You can browse these and see if anything strikes your fancy. There are academic courses, art courses, philosophy!
There's YouTube, of course. Or even Reddit.
Documentaries on Netflix!
I doubt you truly don't have any passions or drives. Perhaps you haven't discovered them yet, or haven't explored them. maybe there were things you were interested in, that people told you, 'no, not that!'
Maybe you truly are a fresh canvas. And that's okay too.
Try to make a list of things you're curious about. Whether they're physical or academic. Curiosity is often how I discover new passions. Ask questions. Do research. Fall down internet holes.
Don't stress about it. Let it happen organically. Let your mind wander.
I'm sure you'll find something that'll strike you. Good luck!

It is really hard to do anything when we have no drive to do it! I would say, to find something new that we really love, whether it be playing an instrument, or anything else like that! once you find something you love to do, you will WANT to do it. and that will slowly lead you to doing other things! Good luck
