Well, first of all you don't want to quit trying to find your inner peace. Whatever, you do try to spend sometime alone with your Higher Power reassessing your life. Try using some candles in a dark room and listening to soft comforting music. Music that you can feel the spirit moving and music that relaxes your soul. I have been there many times in my life where I did not want to do anything but stay in my bed. Also it would not be a bad idea to go to the doctor to get you something to help you to relax and to try to find yourself again. There is nothing wrong with reaching out to the medical professional for help when you are not feeling your best. I hope that you can get your joy and your inner peace of mind back my fiend. Hang in there my friend.

When I have no passion or drive I've learned to take a personal day to recharge (if possible) I pamper myself and treat myself like a friend.
I revise my goals, go for a walk, take a nap, play a round of disc golf, enjoy nature. If not possible i listen to music, and if needed have a cry day - watch some sad movies and let it all out. It helps!
Other times i reach out to my friends or family and try to see other points of view.
At the end, I just need to do this for myself and I have to have me to be kind to myself. Remind myself of what my dreams are and keep on keeping on.

Choose 1 thing that requires the least effort possible but it might still be something that would make you feel happier/somewhat productive to have done it - it could be something as small as taking a shower. Let yourself feel happy about having done it and try to let that spur you on to the next thing, if you feel up to it. Most important thing: try not to be overly self-critical, as that will only make it even harder for you to do something. Everyone has hard times, and there's no need to punish yourself if you find yourself struggling to motivate.

Based on my personal experience, it is very challenging to get out of that rut when you have no passion or drive. Sometimes it may be situational, or do you to medical diagnoses such as depression. One of the first things I do is reach out to somebody that I trust, who is a good listener and offers words of encouragement. Sometimes it’s something as simple as someone reminding me that I am worthy and I can do something, even when my brain tells me otherwise. That’s why I think 7 cups is a great steppingstone for someone with no passion or drive to at least get started. It takes courage to get online and talk to someone anonymously about my downfalls or lack of drive and talking it out can be motivating in itself.

When I feel like I have no passion or drive, there are a few tips that I employ to try and bring it back.
1. Write it out. When I don't know how to move forward, if I don't feel particularly motivated to do anything, I free-write. I open a document, or get out my journal and stream-of-consciousness my way to some answers. If I don't know what I say, that's how I start! "I don't even know what to say right now, but I feel like I'm out of mojo." I follow the path for 750ish words, and see what comes out. (If that's nothing, that's totally fine too.)
2. SING. Playing music I love, and singing along gets me to a place with more rhythm. Literally! If you can sing your favorite driving song at the top of your lungs, and not have a slightly higher vibe, never fear, we have more ideas.
3. Talk to someone. If I'm really struggling with feeling down, it can really help to chat with a listener. That can be here on 7Cups, or it can be a close friend or relative. It's good to express what's going on for you.
4. Take a shower. Sometimes when I'm at a loss for how to get going in my day, whether it be that I need to be more productive, or try and feel better than I do in that moment, a great way to reset is to take a shower. Even if I don't feel like it! Sometimes it sounds like a lot of work when I'm feeling down, but once I'm in there, I'm pretty sure I'll just move in, that water is so soothing. A shower is a great way to reboot your system, and begin again.

You probably think or feel that you do not have any passion or drive because you have not found it yet. My advice is to try different new things, who knows, even the craziest things could turn out to be your passion, things you've never considered before. You will never know unless you try. You can also look at what you have enjoyed in the past, the things that made you joyful in the past can often times be something that is directly or indirectly related to your true passion or drive. I hope this helps you in some way.

When I have no passion or drive I try to find something that will motivate me. I think about everything I have been through and realize if I stop now, I did all of that work for nothing. I always remind my self that no matter what I cannot give up. I need to keep going to prove to others and myself that I can do anything. I always tell myself that everything is temporary even bad things. This help me to realize that no matter what happens it will always work out in the end and everything will be fine.

I once watched a video of Elizabeth Gilbert talking about having curiosity instead of passion. She said that not everyone has or feels passion or knows what their passion is. Passion can also be a very fiery, burning thing, while as curiosity is much more gentle. If you can just do things that make you curious or read about it or try things, follow your curiosity it's an easier thing to do. It's as if there is less pressure with curiosity. You can just try something or check it out and if you don't like it then you can just change direction again. No damage done. Maybe that is just something you can consider or think about instead of feeling that you have to have passion or drive.

I grab a piece of paper and some crayons and colored pens. I take a deep breath, and then, using the crayons and pens, I let my emotions spill out onto the page. The messy colorful scribble done without thought often helps to clear up that creative block. Once that creative block has turned into a galaxy of vivid technicolor scrawl, I turn my attention towards either what I need to work on or something I'm passionate about wanting to create. Whether it's a blank canvas or a new Adobe project, I now sit in front of it, take a deep breath, and let the creativity and passion flow once more.

When I have no passion or drive, I stop and think of all the things that make my life worth living and then I put the strength that I get from that into my drive to complete things. If that doesn't work then I will message a friend or family member and talk to them about it and the are if we can hang out to maybe help motivate the fact that there is always a reason to keep going and to do things. And lastly if that doesn't work I will give myself some time to think about everything before continuing on.
