Surround yourself with people who make you laugh, try to indulge yourself in activities that you love for instance reading, writing, drawing, or listen to music that you want to feel like. So if your depressed listen to an upbeat song, but if all of this doesn't work try talking to your family doctor they want to help; and remember to smile.

Depression is something really personal. If you think you might suffer from it talk to someone you trust. Remember that we are always there to listen, too.
If you are searching for help you might concider talking to a psychologist or a doctor.

Breathe, first of all. Now the most important thing is that you don't ignore or hide your depression. You don't need to be rid of it immediately. Your first step is to manage it. Talk to people, walk in the park, smile, eat ice cream. You are not your depression. You are you : ) And you are amazing.

Depression is hard and can be very long if you let it be, no one wants to be stuck in that black hole, especially all alone, find someone to talk to wether it be online or face to face, relax and surround yourself with good memories and keep yourself busy, that will ward the demons off, and don't always look down, it's prettier when you look up, xxx

First thing, don't fret: Change comes slowly, but steadily. Depression robs you of your time, yes... But it will also help you empathize more, you will find yourself able to better understand human feelings, once you pass through. Remember, you don't beat depression: you simply pass through it. It is not an enemy, it is a (failing) emotional mechanism. One which you can, again slowly, understand and reorganize. Key word: Reorganize.
