Have you tried some alternative medicine? Such as ayurvedic or any other eastern one? Have you considered acupunture? Or binaural beats? I encourage you to do some research on these and eat a healthy (organic when possible) diet and exercise. Did you lnow exercise can reduce depression sometimes to a great extent? And last but not least, support is sometimes more helpful than any medicine!:)

I have found that depression and anxiety are most manageable with therapy, medications, strong social support and light exercise. Walking gives me energy, a boost in mood and distraction from the mental chatter or rumination. We really need sunlight. We are not meant to be indoors and sedentary all the time. Healthy food, such as fresh fruits, vegetables and proteins, are important. Depression is an inflammatory disease, so eating lots of sugars and carbohydrates worsens inflammation and leads to unstable blood sugar, which affects mood. I also feel sluggish when I eat fatty fast food. For me, social support is critical. I need people to talk to for support and I need enjoyable activities. Medication helps with sleep and mood regulation and therapy helps with developing coping skills. Therapy also helps with identifying feelings, issues and cognitive distortions. It’s like retraining the brain how to think! Anyway, these are the things that help me, and things I have found to be most helpful to others too.

Depression and anxiety can be such a difficult hurdle in life for many people; it's draining! Unfortunately, there is no magic we can do to cure anxiety or depression in one day. The best we can do is find things that we can do for self-care. (ie. art, music, exercise, meditation, making sure you take care of your hygiene.)
Taking the time to recognize when you're feeling anxious and/or depressed is a step in the right direction, and using your coping skills when you feel this way is very brave.
