All of your feelings are valid, no matter where they come from. It may not be something most people see as an issue "worthy" of depression, but anything that's happening that is causing you to have negative feelings to the point of depression is completely valid. Anyone who disagrees isn't able to put themselves in your shoes, and they're not empathetic. It's okay to be with those people, but don't take anything they say too seriously. Everything you feel is completely understandable and real, and you should never feel guilty or looked down on for your emotions, no matter what the cause.

I cannot answer this with a yes or no answer. However, one of the symptoms of depression can be self-criticism. Perhaps that is why you think you are being over dramatic. Only a qualified health care professional can give you a real answer. But if you feel down, please do not try to talk yourself out of getting help because it might be seen as over dramatic. It could be that you can feel much better once you have faced what you are going through.

It's impossible to diagnose depression with any degree of certainty without any information. However, if you have to ask that question, it seems that you are genuinely suffering. If you look at the diagnosis for Depression, and feel that you are experiencing a number of symptoms, consider seeing a mental health professional in an effort to reach a diagnosis, as well as to help you mitigate these symptoms as you seek treatment.

Depression is an issue, and it should never be attributed to being "overdramatic". Depression can interrupt a person's day to day life and is an issue that should never be taken lightly.

I cannot fully answer this question for you since I don't know what kind of symptoms you go through - it's important that you talk to someone, maybe a counsellor to seek more information about your feelings and if you have been feeling like this perhaps they'll diagnose you with depression.

First of all, asking questions is never over dramatic. If you are sad since two days because your dog died or you broke up with your boyfriend, I don't think you have depressions but there is nothing wrong with wanting to talk to someone. But if feel generally down for a longer time you should talk to someone you trust and get yourself help.
