I have gone through Depression and still do. I know what it feels like to be empty. I know what it feels like to have no feelings, and just feel like you are just living life on auto-pilot. Now, to answer your question, "is the emptiness ever going to go away", unfortunately, I'm not Allah/God, and so I can't tell you what will or will not happen. I also don't want to instill false positivity in you. Can you try and let it go away? Well, you can only try so hard and no more. You have to try and push yourself through the storm, every, single, day. It doesn't matter how hard it gets, as long as you try, things should work out for the better. 😊

It depends on how you decide to fill that empty space. Fill it with love and happiness, it may disappear, but fill it with hate and resentment, you may remain empty.

In my experience, emptiness is cyclical. But I am starting to view it as an opportunity to be filled with something good.

the emptiness is just room for love and the more you have right now the more there's going to be shoved into your life.

It can. Emptiness is something that can always, always, be filled with something. Sometimes that is really difficult and sometimes it goes easily, but filling it up is a choice. To fill it up, you should realise what caused in the first place, how it affects you and why, why you want it to go away and what your options are to manage it. But yes, it can go away.

It can't go away from being ignored. If anyone ignores their emptiness, it will lose its substance, and then it will become a pit. It can't go away completely in my opinion. But we can synthesize it being gone.

Emptiness is a feeling, one that can be very hard to get out of. It can't rain forever unless you want it too. Ask yourself how long it has been going on, go through your past, however painful it might be and try and find the reason to why you feel this way, and then ask yourself what you can do to change.

If you work to make it go away, it will, of couse. Nothing last forever, no love and neither sadness.
