Personally I love to not think of anything and just kind of stare off into space. It is cleansing to the soul.

Well if you feel like not thinking of things will make you happier and take stress off, then I believe it is okay for something's. It's normal to not want to think of bad things that have happened or not think of things that might stress you out.

When things aren't going well in your life or you're under a lot of stress, it can be normal. As a way of using that desire to your advantage, I highly suggest practicing mindfulness every day. You can do it literally anywhere, anytime. Notice things around you and in you--experience them without judgement or questions. Take five or ten minutes to survey your surroundings and possible sensations, and let each forming thought just drift past. It will become easier with practice and you'll notice your mind become gradually quieter and any possible stress may decrease.

Short answer - yes. Long answer - sometimes, when I sit quietly, with no TV or phone or music to mask my mind, I find it running a thousand miles a minute. To the point that it hurts. And then there are days where the thought of grabbing the water bottle in front of me seems impossible. It's okay to not want to think of anything. There is a lot we deal with one a daily basis - internally and externally. Sometimes, we deserve some time off.

Yes this is normal- There is nothing to worry about. Even I, sometimes just think of a blank piece of paper, as I don't want to think of anything- I would class it, as your mind's rest. Your mind is resting peacefully, not having to think about anything, therefore, in answer to your question, yes it is normal- Hope I helped :)

Not thinking of anything is what we call as "Living in the present moment". If we are not thinking about the stuff we are seeing is the living in present moment thing. This covers both the aspects, good and bad. We need not think of good or bad just be in the moment and see every thing.

Of course! The mind tends to wonder in so many directions. It's nice to be alone with yourself and no thoughts sometimes! :)

Its completely normal. I often think this and many others as well. Its a normal response to stress and pain. Sometimes its easier to think nothing than to think everything
