When we feel frustrated with life we can find it difficult to release these stressers and often attempt to releave the stress in unhealthy or harming ways, Biting and scratching yourself is not healthy if you are doing it to the point of hurting yourself. If you are doing it as a habbit for whatever reason, you may have some kind of suppressed reason for it. Talking to people that specialise in the this feild can be helpful. Talking to your local GP might uncover some information and may open up some doors for you to go on and they may be able to offer you counseling sessions to get over your habbit and to find preventative measures so that you are not harming yourself.

It depends on what kind of scratching and biting we're talking about. Scratching itches, occasional skin picking, biting your nails--those are pretty normal. If you're doing physical damage to yourself, find yourself spending a lot of time on these things to the point where it's hard to stop, or doing it specifically to cause pain, there could potentially be an issue there, particularly if it's interfering with your ability to do other things or causing you distress.

Yes. A lot of people do this. It's a way to help the person calm down but it's not recommended. It's best to talk someone instead
