It is never your fault for being depressed is an illness, if you could chose to get rid of it, I'm sure you would. Blaming someone for depression is like blaming someone for having cancer, you cant help it! Stay strong ♥

I guess it kind of is because I keep saying negative things about myself which is one of the reasons I'm depressed I guess

Not at all. However, you do have control on how you manage and deal with your depression. It is normal to blame yourself and feel guilty, but keep in mind this is the depression talking.

It is never your fault for being depressed, and it is no one to blame because depression all starts off as a chemical imbalance and sometimes there's something that triggers it and causes a lack of the flow of chemicals or sometimes it's just an accident.

No. What we experience defines us, but we have no control over that. Whatever you have gone through - even if it seems to be nothing - changes our perceptions. Depression can be caused by many things, but hardly ever ourselves.

It is never your own fault for having depression. Depression is a mental disorder that can impact you whether your life is going well or not.

No. It is never your fault. Depression is a bully and you are the victim. You shouldn't feel bad for yourself for being depressed. Use the energy you have to work towards feeling better about yourself (taking time for yourself, going to therapy, etc)

No. Can you do things to try and climb out? Of course but don't think that it is solely your fault. If you are truly depressed and not sad then you may not be able to pull yourself up and out. It can get into a vicious cycle. Never be afraid to ask for help.

No, of course it is not your fault you are depressed. Nor is it anyone else's for that matter. Depression is usually caused by a chemical imbalance in your brain and can't be controlled on your own. It requires medicine to try and give you the chemicals you may be missing.
