No. The onset of depression is not controllable, it's what we do once we realize we have it that we can control.

It's none of the persons fault,we sometimes feel bad on some days and even good on days,it's the point that nothing lasts forever and it's normal

It's never your fault for being depressed. Being a transgendered male (Female To Male), depression is a normal thing in my life. I finally learned that the way I felt wasn't my fault, and sought help. Realizing it wasn't my fault helped me more than anything and I think it could help you, too.

It isn't anyone's fault for being depressed. Your emotions seem to have a mind of their own and when a person is depressed.. they aren't asking to be that way.

Depression is never your fault. And blaming yourself won't help you get better. It's a medical condition, it's sadly common, and it can affect anyone. It was not caused by you.

I used to think it was, that I shoud just have been more active trying to be happy. Now, I've come to realise, it never was my fault.

No love, it isn't. People don't become depressed by choice. People become depressed when something has affected them and they do not choose whether they want that or not. Please don't ever blame yourself for the pain you go through everyday because you are depressed, because it isn't your fault, nor is it anyone else's. If you are faced with depression, it is just something you must learn how to deal with and hopefully, get over one day. Just believe you can do it and there are so many ways to face it; talk to someone, meditate/do yoga, find ways to de-stress your mind and if t is necessary, prescription pills. But it is definitely not your fault and it is unfair that some people have to deal with it and others don't.
