There are many different kids of depression. Some is seasonal/environmental. Some people get really depressed in the winter and fall because of the lack of Vitamin D etc. Some is genetic as it can run in families genes. Behavioral is also a kind of depression, this is caused by your own behavior and you often put yourself in positions that you don't see the issues of. This causes you to be depressed.

Depression can be environmental but it's mostly mental or behavioral due to the weight it has on people. Having depression can cause a person to feel heavy in the chest or back, or make their days a lot grayer than usual. This may also prevent someone from leaving home or to feel horrible throughout the day. I guess it's not really behavioral as a whole but more environmental or just how it is.

I my own experience I would it is a little bit of all 3. Of course it differes from one individual to another. In my case, the genetic aspect was proven when mental illness can be traced back to my grandparents. The environment I grew up in was not optimum for a child's mental health. I was kinda a rebel in school as well.

In my opinion, it seems to be a behavioral issue, but in some circumstances itay be genetic. Sometimes it's an imbalance of things in the brain or possibly an endocrine problem.

Depression is a genetic, environment and behavioral disorder. There are many factors that can activate depression and all 3 factors can have a huge impact on depression. Genetic are very common as these can be passed on genetically but thankfully, can be helped with the proper coping mechanisms in place. Environmental depression is very common in communities that are disadvantaged or under privileged. The pressures that just this specific community of individuals endure alone cause depression. Behavioral may be one of the most commonly addressed or known depression disorders. There are many different behavioral depression disorders that affect a wide range of people. Genetics, Environment, and Behavior all have affects on each other as well.
