I have been here so many times. I thought too much about getting better. The desire to get better is good, and a crucial first step towards improvement. But it is of little worth if it is not followed by taking necessary steps. We need to take action, if we really need to see positive results. And that is tough. It is hard to get out of that inertia of sadness, hopelessness and laziness, and really do something about it. But as it goes - no pain, no gain. Support and motivation from others can be incredibly helpful in overcoming the inertia.

This depends on your personal experiences and difficulties, but it could be for any number of reasons.
(1) You may have some unresolved issues and need some help to get through them, from a professional mental health worker or perhaps simply from a kind, compassionate person.
(2) You could have a physical problem (e.g. imbalance of neurotransmitters in the brain can cause problems such as anxiety, depression and psychosis to name a few) which needs help and treatment from a qualified doctor or psychiatrist, possibly with medication.
(3) Your current life situation might be making you unhappy and not allowing you the space and support you need to help you get better.
These are some of the most common reasons, but for you it might be something else entirely. If your problems are significantly affecting your life, it might help you to see a professional for expert in-person support.
Whatever it is, it's not unfixable. There is always something that can be done to make things at least a little better. It may take you a while to find what you need, but please don't lose hope -- keep trying out the different options. It's hard work but it's more than worth it when something finally helps.

This must be a difficult time for you. It is not easy to want to make yourself feel better. It is important to take one day at a time. It is also important to realize that it is ok to not be ok. By putting this pressure on yourself I can imagine that it can be overwhelming. Starting your day off with a positive mindset can be beneficial to your mental health. Many factors play a part in how we feel and it can be hard to pin point what is affecting you the most. By thinking positive vibes it can improve your mindset on life.

It's time to get up and do something you normally wouldn't do. So if you're a stay at home and watch Netflix in bed type of person, you need to get up and start moving or vise versa. Switching up your routine is essential to your self-care and wellbeing. You may even find new ways of coping.
Moreover, when you feel like you have tried everything you could and you are still experiencing long stints of not feeling well, practice forgiveness and be willing to dive deeper into your psyche to understand yourself better. You might have an underlying cause that is holding you back from better.

If you feel like you are unable to feel better, perhaps you're looking at your situation from a perspective that is no longer benefiting you. Self-reflection is a very important form of perspective to better understand what it is that is making you feel down, and what it is you'd like to see that can make you feel better. Weigh out pros and cons of a situation and set yourself up for the highest path. For example: I don't feel good about my grades in school, I'm doing my best but nothing seems to make me feel better about it. I will write down a list of all of my study habits and techniques and explore other options that my peers utilize that have proved successful. This sense of organization will surely make me feel optimistic about a new route towards higher grades.
