Admitting depression to a loved one or friend can seem like an embarrassing admission of a personal failure. It isn't. Depression, to one degree or another, is an unfortunate but natural part of life for so many people the world over. Know that your depression isn't a failure and be honest with someone about how you're feeling.

People are more understanding then you think, it may be a huge release off your shoulders to be able to share with another person. If not there are many channels to get support such as talking to a listener or professional counselling service. You are worth spending time on. Look after your mental health as it is the underlying foundation for a healthy lifestyle.

You should try to find out if you are really feeling depressed or if it's just a sort of sad feeling that is caused by some sort of situation.

Its very understandable that you wouldnt want to tell anyone how you feel. But the only way to truly work through depression is to talk to someone and work from there. You can talk to a doctor in full confidence if that would make you feel better and they cannot pass anything you say on without your permission

Try to find out the cause of depression, and check when you feel extreme , which thoughts make this happen, and then think how do you conquer that thing and being social with friends and family make you feel good and also find some reason to live in this world.

It's okay, figure out your feelings and everything, you don't need to rush. You can always talk to a listener, it is fine that you don't want to tell anyone yet.

Find someone you can tell. Deep emotions and feeling like depression or anxiety aren't emotions meant to be pent up. Find someone you trust and tell them your feelings and troubles. Sometimes these people can be parents, teachers, trusted friends, siblings or anyone you look up to.
