Depression is in fact a disease. It is very hard to cope with everyday life with depression. Don't be afraid to reach out and talk to someone, whether it being your parents, a close friend, councellor, or your doctor. Don't be afraid of judgement, they will understand and help you with what you need to overcome depression and get back to who you once were and to find happiness.

I think you did the first step very well! You figured out and accepted that you're depressed! I know that it is very very hard to tell it others that you do have a problem! But you did the first step here too - you told us! Are there any friends or family members you do trust a lot? Maybe start with them!

You don't need to tell everyone that you're depressed, but there is somebody, maybe somewhere in your surrounding environment, who loves and cares about you! And I'm sure there is a Person you can trust, be it a teacher or a good friend. I understand that it is hard to talk about it, because of fear of not be unterstood or maybe you are embarrased of your illness. But there is ALWAYS a Person you can talk to and who are willing to help you!

Consider talking to a counselor, or therapist, a lot of them are trained in these situations. Many schools offer this with confidentiality.

I understand why you feel that way being depressed myself, but in the long run it is important you seek help. I managed to get help from my GP by writing everything down and showing them, this also helped with my Social Anxiety

sometimes we all have thing we don't want to share with anyone.. but keeping it within ourselves don't help either in fact we will be more depressed by the fact that we can't tell anyone. But there are people who can always help and opening up to someone is not always a bad idea.

If you don't want to tell someone, it's going to take time, maybe you just need someone that you really trust, or you can try talking to a doctor on your own time
