Science says yes! Most depressed people do get better in time, even those who can't get help for one reason or another, although chances are better if you get the help you need. A typical depressive episode only lasts some months. There is light at the end of the tunnel.

Depression can go away with the right help and treatment. You have to figure out why you are experiencing depression first before you can expect it to go away. Also, understanding realistic expectations is important. It takes much time to feel better but the sooner you start the better!

Well, I couldn't tell you but it depends on you. I've struggled for years with depression and I haven't got out of yet but that doesn't mean I won't. You have to figure how to pull yourself out and maybe get some help if you need it. (:

It will. As human beings, we have an incredible capacity to overcome almost anything. We are very resilient creatures. The pain you're experiencing right now may seem like it will never go away, but it will eventually. This too shall pass.

It will go away and it will get better. There is light at the end of the dark tunnel of depression and you may not be able to see that right now but if you keep going you will get there and it will go away.
