Depression is like a vortex of loneliness and a feeling of uselessness. It's really hard to break out of, purely because of the nature of it- you have an underlying want and need to have a purpose and have someone to talk to, but the depression ruins your mental state and steals away that drive from within you.

Depression may be described as feeling sad, blue, unhappy, miserable, or down in the dumps. Most of us feel this way at one time or another for short periods.
Clinical depression is a mood disorder in which feelings of sadness, loss, anger, or frustration interfere with everyday life for weeks or more. And if it is in severe from you really need medical attention..as its due to the deficiency of serotonin in basal ganglia so you need to consult then with a psychiatrist..only counseling will not be helpful then..

You know that feeling of weights being pushed against you. When you miss a step on a stair case and your stomach lurches. When you feel everything and nothing at once. It is like that but way much worse.

Depression is the weight on your chest. Depression is not getting excited about things you used to love. Depression is the tug on your heart when you hear something you didn't want to. Depression is being too tired to get out of bed in the morning, or too tired to even speak. It feels like nothing is enjoyable, and nothing can make you smile. It sucks.

Standing underneath a floor of glass, screaming and banging on it trying to get the attention of the rest of the world going about their lives without you. The problem is no-one can hear you or even knows you're trapped there.
