I would describe depression as an uncontrollable emotion, just as if you were happy about something. Depression is a medical issue, a psychological issue which makes you extremely sad. Yes, people do get sad at times but depression is more severe that just being "sad". Depression is a feeling that not many people can find words to describe but it is emotionally painful for anyone who has it.

It's like a dark, never-ending tunnel, where you personally can't see the light at the end. You keep trying to escape, but you just get dragged deeper into it. It's like the rest of the world is in this mirror. You see the mirror but the image is distorted making you think that everything else is perfect and you're the abnormal one. At least, that's how I see it from personal experience. All you need to remember is that there is light at the end of the tunnel, you just can't see it yet.

For me I would describe it as my best friend yet my worst enemy. It sticks by me until I get control and show it the door.

I would describe it as a gray, stormy rain cloud always floating above your head. Or feeling like you're watching paint dry on a wall all day. It may also feel like the world has been painted gray. And maybe most of all, depression is seductive. It's so tempting to fall into its embrace...to give up and let it take you. But it's important to remember that there's always hope, even in the most unlikely of places.
Never give up :)

Depression is a state in which your whole world slowly turns grey and usually without you immediately noticing and before you know it you're stuck in a world that's black and white and nothing in between.

Depression is like an all encompassing blanket. It keeps you "safe" inside of it's clutches, and can often make you feel alone and comfortable. It makes you 'comfortable' because it tries to stop you from doing anything that could make you throw it off. You feel trapped, isolated, and confused. You can't find your way out from under the blanket, and at times it feels like it's so heavy that you can't breathe.

Depression is like your mind listening to sad songs, always, continuosly.
Its like your body always stressing itself just not to hear the sad song your mind is always playing.
Its like your apetite and your ability to sleep dont work anymore as a form of protest against your mind, and it will go on until your mind stops playing that song.
But how can you stop your own mind?
By controlling it, and listening to happy songs.
Tame your mind, dont let it tame you.

Depression takes away everything from you I.e. The things you loved doing are no more enjoyable to you and you see everything in a negative light. There is a lot of hate from you, you just want everyone to pay and suffer like you did
