Depression is like having a mosquito in your ear during a big party. You don't notice because you're having fun and it's loud and you're distracted. Then the party ends, and when you're left in the quiet room alone, you realize "Oh man, there was a mosquito in my ear that ENTIRE time..." Sometimes you don't realize that it is affecting you until long after the damage is done.

Depression is a state of mind that is very difficult to distinguish from your own identity. It involves hate and sadness for the world, for the future, and towards yourself. You feel like you are trapped in your life, that nobody understands you, and there is nothing you can do about it.

Dark, tiresome, and feeling like your mind has been fogged with a dark mist making your thoughts become negative. You want to cry but don't feel good enough for it, you find yourself in the reach of food but don't have the appetite. You find yourself alone, and isolated. It's hell.
