You can't just get rid, but you can slowly recover. Through natural ways, or medication. But either way, no you can't.

Yes, it is possible to be cured to depression. Between therapy, talking to others, support from friends and family, possibly medications, and self-help books, and positive thinking, you can put your depression into remission. However, just like any other disease, it can still manisfest itself during difficult/stressful times. The important thing is to remember all the tools you used to deal with your depression in the first place.

I don't believe you can be completely rid of depression, but there are ways to cope with it and improve quality of life. I.e. prescriptions, keeping a journal may help some people, or exercise among other things.

Coping with depression and managing it is possible through therapy, medications and time. It's a process and while sometimes it can't fully go away it is manageable.

Depression is a clinical condition just as real as a cold or flu. The key to understanding whether someone has depression or a bad case of the blues is knowing the severity and frequency of the feelings or symptoms. Treatment for depression varies widely from person to person, but there are some approaches that seem to work more often than others. With the right treatments, you may be able to minimize the symptoms of depression and reduce the impact of depression on the quality of your life.
