A good idea to get rid of depression is to start writing about your feelings. You'll find out by keeping a journal and just expressing how you're feeling at any given moment can be a great way at giving yourself space from a torment of emotions, thus allowing them to escape and give you a moment of peace.

You can't just "get rid of it." Despite your complaints, you'll probably have to live with it for a while before you learn to face it head on and tackle it. This, of course, isn't an easy journey, but just "getting rid of it" isn't possible. I'm sorry for the let down, but there is no easy answer to your question. The only way I can think of to easily get rid of depression is to ignore it. Its not a permanent removal, but it helps for daily outings or confrontations with friends.
