For me, this involved a lot of trial an error, years and years of trying one treatment after the next, not only medications. I finally found what seems like the right cocktail of meds and now I can see a glimmer of hope. That little push is what is required to get out of the stagnancy and get unstuck. Then it's a process of changing the circumstances to alleviate the situational aspect of the depression.

You don't immediately get rid of it. You have to be better than all your insecurities, know your worth and add taxes to it. "I can handle this and slowly, I am."

I'm still figuring it out, it is a long, hard healing process. What can you do on your journey? Well, I think getting 'rid' of depression is a daily journey. If you can have depression-free day then guess what?! You got rid of depression, just for that day. And sure, it'll probably be back the next day but then you can work on it the next day. Working out things that make you worse, your 'triggers', that'll really aid helping to work out what to avoid on a daily basis, some cannot be avoided, maybe it's something that someone else does but, it means you have something to work through with that person. Eventually you may be able to build an 'immunity' per say to those things and you won't feel so bad on a daily basis. But, hey-keep in mind-there is no CURE for depress, mainly because everyone is unique as is there depression. You will be okay. You will get through this, I have every faith. Good luck!

Everyone is different though. Some people have bouts of depression for a short while and then it never comes back again - others are different.
