There are as many ways as there are people, but most of them involve getting support, having people to talk and go to in the hard times and building resources during the better times. Think about what cheers you up, make a care package to take the edge off and maybe find a counsellor. Also it's always good to remind oneself of positive things, writing them down, record what you've achieved, even if it's just taking a shower and drinking enough water.

Depression is something which is not easy to get rid of easily. But depression Shows how strong you are to fight in a war. I have been depressed for a long time, it just comes and goes, comes and goes, but if you want to beat the depression a little I want you to distract yourself from feeling this way and don't give a chance for the depression to come by surrounding yourself with people who make you feel appreciated and happy, people who understand you and can distract you from all the bad things which you feel

Sadly you cannot ever get fully rid of depression, however, you can change your outlook on life/items and it will help you feel better. For example instead of when something bad happens saying "why me" how about saying "try me"?
